GLT-PLUS Transition project successfully executed
Transition Experts successfully executed the transfer of the IT systems, processes and organisation to Yokogawa Europe during the period from April to December 2016, commissioned by GLT-PLUS and Yokogawa Europe.
GLT-PLUS (Groningen Long Term) is a consortium consisting of Stork, Jacobs, Siemens and Yokogawa Europe, responsible for maintaining and adapting the installations which ensure the Groningen gas field production is kept at the right level.
The transition from GLT-PLUS IT management to the new IT administrator Yokogawa Europe consisted of:
- Moving the data centre locations to Sappemeer and the Yokogawa Europe head office in Amersfoort.
- Moving the GLT-PLUS branch workplaces in Sappemeer to a NAM branch in Sappemeer.
- The transfer of knowledge and responsibility for the management of GLT-PLUS’ IT environment from the existing organisation to Yokogawa Europe’s ICT organisation. This also included the dismantling of the old IT organisation.
- The implementation of the adjustments and expansions in the Yokogawa ICT organisation, in order to enable the management of the GLT-PLUS environment. This concerned changes in staff, processes and technology.
The transition took place under the management of Transition Experts and was executed in collaboration with Yokogawa IT and GLT-PLUS IT employees.
Thanks to this successful transition, GLT-PLUS is now able to use Yokogawa Europe’s knowledge, technically progressive IT facilities and innovation power at lower costs.
